Christians shouldn't worry because God is with us.This is Part 6 of my 7-part series on why Christians shouldn’t worry. You can find links to the other parts of the series at the end of this post.

The sixth reason Christians shouldn’t worry is because God is with us. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Many times, when we encounter problems, it may feel like we are all alone and must face those challenges by ourselves. Nothing is further from the truth! In the above verse, God reminds us that He is with us. When God is with us, we don’t need to worry because…

  • God is aware of our situation. People call 9-1-1 when they are in trouble because they want to bring their issue to the attention of someone who can help them. We don’t have to alert God to our situation since He is always with us, and He already knows what we are going through.
  • God is active in our situation. From a human perspective, when we go through difficult times, we want to see some obvious evidence that something is being done to fix the problem. We may not see what God is doing with our physical eyes, but we can have faith that He is actively moving behind the scenes to work the situation out. In addition, God is active in strengthening and sustaining us while we wait for His deliverance.
  • God is able to handle our situation. We saw in Part 5 of this series that nothing is too hard for God. The best part about that is we serve an all-powerful God who is not just “out there” somewhere; He is right here with us everywhere we go and with every step we take.

Yes, God is with us. Therefore, we don’t have to worry because the God who is able to help us is aware of our situation and is actively working to take care of the problem.

What kind of situations cloud your spiritual vision and make it difficult for you to see that God is with you? During those times, what will you do to remind yourself of His presence and power? Tell me about it in the comments.
