This is Part 5 of my 7-part series on why Christians shouldn’t worry. You can find links to the other parts of the series at the end of this post.
The fifth reason Christians shouldn’t worry is because God has the power to handle our problems. In Jeremiah 32:27 (NIV), God says, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” The answer to this question is a resounding “NO!” There are no problems God cannot solve, no situations He cannot fix, and no circumstances from which He cannot deliver us.
Sometimes, the challenges of life can be overwhelming and could cause us to feel helpless and powerless. As a result, we may begin to worry. We must always remember that we serve an all-powerful God who is more than capable of taking care of any situation we face, no matter how difficult it seems to us. Nothing is too hard for God!
When trials come our way, we can take one of two perspectives. We can allow the problem to be bigger than our God, in which case, we will find ourselves worrying. Alternatively, we can believe that God is bigger than our problem, in which case, instead of worrying, we will give the issue to God and trust Him to handle it. Which perspective will you take the next time trouble comes? The choice is yours.
Has there ever been a time in your life when God showed you He was bigger than your problem? Tell me about it in the comments. Remember, just as God worked out that problem for you then, He has the power to work out your current situation now.
